About Me

Hello, welcome to my blog!
My name is Yoon Nadi Oo, but you can call me Wendy. I have a nickname, “De Dee,” which my family and close friends use, but I know it can be a bit tricky to pronounce, so Wendy works just fine! I’m 19 years old, born in May 2005, so I’m in my last year as a teenager and excitedly looking forward to adulthood. I’m from Myanmar and was born and raised in Yangon, a vibrant and well-known city in my country.
As the one and only daughter in my family, I’ve definitely been a bit spoiled! Currently, I’m a third-year university student at Assumption University of Thailand (ABAC Bangna), where I’m majoring in Digital Business Management under the Faculty of Business Administration. I am currently in my major committee working as a Welfare for 2024 academic term.

My Personality (MBTI)

I’m an ISFP-T, also known as the “Adventurer” personality type. This means I’m introverted, observant, feeling-oriented, and prospecting. Being an ISFP-T makes me a bit sensitive and emotional, and I often worry about things. Social situations can make me nervous, as I’m naturally introverted, but I’m working on becoming more comfortable in social settings.

While it might be hard to get to know me at first, once I feel comfortable, my personality really comes out! I’m friendly, a bit of a “mood booster ,” and can be quite chaotic and silly. I love making people around me laugh, and I’m always up for doing chaotic things with those I’m close to.

Educational Background

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and political issues in Myanmar, I had to pause my high school studies for two years, so I completed high school in 2022. I attended Practising High School Yangon Institute of Education, commonly known as TTC, which is one of the top schools in Yangon. I passed my matriculation examination with one distinction and received an entrance offer from the University of Yangon (YU), one of Yangon’s top universities.

Initially, I applied for a major in Political Science at YU, but due to the ongoing political situation, I was only able to attend for a few days before deciding to pursue my studies abroad. I then joined a university foundation program at AU MIT, which is joint with Assumption University of Thailand. This program lasted five months, and upon completion, I continued my studies here.

During high school summers, I attended English courses to improve my language skills. From 2014 to 2018, I studied at the British Council, and from 2013 to 2018, I attended Ponnami Language Center (PLC). After finishing high school, I  attended Edulink, where I completed milestones from U16 to U19, reaching an upper-intermediate level in English. Unfortunately, I couldn’t continue studying to complete the diploma at Edulink, as I moved abroad for my university studies.

Here are some of the achievement certificates I still have. Although a few have been misplaced, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made at my hometown.

Why I Chose Business

Before coming here, I considered studying engineering to help with my family’s business. However, I realized that engineering might be quite challenging for me, as it requires a level of technical expertise that I wasn’t confident in. After discussing my options with my mom, she encouraged me to follow my heart, but I ultimately chose business as a more suitable path.
My mom, who is a businesswoman and leads our family company, has always inspired me. I’ve always wanted to be like her, so choosing business felt like a natural fit. Although Political Science was my initial major, I realized that business is what I’ve truly wanted to pursue, and I am fully committed to excelling in this field.
Before arriving here, I had already decided to declare Digital Business Management as my major, and now I’m making it a core part of my career journey.

Activities I joined

Currently, I’m involved in my DBM committee as Welfare for the 2024 academic term. This experience has provided me with valuable perspectives and new opportunities, helping me to grow academically and socially in a supportive environment. Since I’m introverted, joining activities and engaging with others is a big step for me, and it’s helping me to improve my social skills in meaningful ways.
I also had  the amazing opportunity to join the Student Leader Conference (SLC) camp, organized by our seniors and the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO). This camp, held by ABAC, was designed to train participants like me to become better leaders who are capable of guiding and supporting our juniors in their academic and personal growth .
The 2024 AU camp for NongNong (freshmen) was the perfect way to kick off my journey at ABAC. The camp was designed to help us get to know more about the university, our majors, and most importantly, connect with other students. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to bond with my fellow freshmen, share experiences, and learn about the various aspects of university life.
I’ve had the privilege of organizing and preparing for major events such as the gathering for Marketing, Hotel Tourism Management, DBM, and Real Estate students, as well as helping with the major orientation.

Hobbies and Interest

I do love Vlogging a lot. I really enjoy vlogging and I’m quite good at editing. I capture my daily activities, whether it’s going somewhere, experiencing daily life, or eating, and I edit them perfectly for my vlogs. Although I initially posted them privately for close friends due to my shyness and fear of posting publicly, I am working on overcoming this. I’ve now created a Facebook page called “De Dee’s Diaries,” where you can find my reels and vlogs on both Facebook and YouTube. I  have a wide range of interests and enjoy trying new activities. In high school, I played the violin and was actively involved in school events. I also participated in Myanmar essay writing and drawing competitions, showcasing my creative side. Additionally, I trained in Myanmar Thine (Burmese Martial Arts), which is similar to Taekwondo. At university Here , I chose Taekwondo as my PE class and earned a Yellow Belt, continuing my passion for martial arts.
So I find almost everything interesting, which makes it hard to choose a single thing to focus on. However, I do have a few activities I enjoy the most. I love sleeping, as it helps me recharge. I also enjoy listening to music and watching Tik Toks, which are perfect ways for me to relax and unwind. I also love swimming and I swim at my free time.

Future Plans

After graduating from ABAC, I plan to transfer to another country to pursue my master’s degree. I intend to find a stable job to support myself and cover my fees. After completing my master’s, I’m unsure whether I’ll stay in that country or return to my home country to manage my family business. No matter what, I am determined to become the businesswoman I’ve always wanted to be.

One More Thing about Me

I absolutely love Sonny Angels and have been collecting every series of them. I carry them with me wherever I go, whether I’m eating or doing anything else, they’re always by my side. They are with me every time. I adore them so much because they’re tiny, and they always make my day better. I feel incredibly lucky whenever they’re with me.

So now I hope you get to know me a little bit better😇🙈

Thank You Saurr Much for reading till the end💓
